This is in case of a deregularised industry...
There are two terms distributor(can be electrical distribution company) and supplier( a vendor/contractor assigned to look into a specific areas)..
if the supplier performs billing with his charges sends the bill to the customer, then it is a third party billing...
if the distributor performs the billing + puts the supplier charges and sends it the customer, then it is called the consolidated bill and the process is called consoildated billing...
the distributor can send a separate bill and the supplier can also send a separte bill(Third party billing)...
