Braking the quantity into multiple line items

Hi Gurus,

I have got the following requirement.

When i enter material quantity in a quotation/Sales order, that line item should break up into multiple line items as much as Quantity of the material.

Eg:

Line item no. Material Quantity

10 A 3

When i enter a line item like above then system should make that as follows

Line item no. Material Quantity

10 A 1

11 A 1

12 A 1

Hi Anil,

This is not possible in the standard. You would have to use a user-exit or ABAP coding to achieve this.

Is there any specific reason for this? Can you provide the background?

I dont know the requirements, but as a general suggestion, you can try BoM (Bill of Material) concept.

I need to maintain some data at each line item material level.

In standard business, you don't require this and i don't think standard SAP has a solution for your requirement.

As Nikilesh has suggested, you may have to talk to SAP and modify related SAP programs.
