Posting period

Dear SAPpers,

to change or postpone the posting period i know it is MMPV but the sytem tells me that cconversion is not possible how to solve it

Hi

Go to OB52, and check whats the status of your company code?

Go to MMRV, and check in which period the your company code is ?

the conversion is not possible if u post by leaving any month between past and present month. for example: ur system shows january. u want to change it to april. u cant do directly from jan to april inMMPV.

u should do it one by one like jan, feb, march, april,ans so on.

if u wont fallow it in series ur system cant accept it.

Change the period directly in OMSY

Hi,

After defining the enterrise structure, the deafult posting date may be 11 2002, Ithe system is ot allowing to change the posting period because ou wuld have create some master data. Go to MMPV, try to close the current period 04 2008, it will give an error with existing posting period.

Not down that period and close that first with MMPV,

if it is 11 2007, Go to MMPV give the company code name, period as 11, year as 2002 then execute. Once you complete then it you need to close 12 2002 then 01 2003....so on to the current one.
