Maximo SAP Integration via XI/PI

Hi,

We are implementing Maximo 6.1 with integration to ECC 6.0. For this , we are using XI/PI to integrate these systems. I have read that Maximo has come up with SAP Adapter for ECC. I would like to know more about it. Does this support IDOC?

What kind of data format ( XML, IDOC, HTTP) it supports and how could we design our XI implementation.

Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Hi!

the Maximo connectivity uses XI as integration hub and also comes with XI Content (e.g. ready-made mappings). So XI takes care of protocol transition and mapping.

Regarding XI just make sure that you have performed a sizing taking into account message size, frequency (bulky peaks or constant stream) and quality of delivery (best effort, exactly once etc.).
