Negative forecast

Hi,

If we have all negative values in history is the forecast negative?

I created a view with negative history and forecasted and it gave me all positive quantities in forecast.

For our returns, the qty. is negative and we need a negative forecast.

Is there a way to get the negative forecast?

I had verified through an OSS message that SAP models zero out the negatives. Hence returns must be forecast as a seperate line item with positive numbers. We typically mark the returns with <<PROD NO.>>_RETN. So that it is clear which product is being returned and any positive quantity associated is actually a return. The design is intuitive and you can explore this as well. Otherwise you would need to use macros to switch the negatives, forecast them, and switch the forecasts to negative using macros.
