Error when trying to upload attachment

Hi All

We are on SRM 5.0 SRM Server 5.5.

I am getting an error whenever I try to upload an attachment to either a shopping cart or a PO.

When I select 'Search and Add' I get my pop-up that allows me to search for and then select my file. However when I select the required file the system pauses and then returns an error 'The content server report an error.' When I select OK to this error I get another error appearing that simply states 'Java.IO.Exception'.

I don't know why there is any message about content server when we do not use a separate content server. The config settings for content repository have been untouched.

I have activated the docserver and assigned a user and password. We are using only one client.

Anyone got any ideas

Logged the call with SAP who directed me to 'Define settings for attachments' in IMG and setting the 'Deactivate Java Applet' & 'Deactivate Attachment versioning' checkboxes - problem solved.
