Hi gurus,
Please help me with step by step procedure to sell the raw materials in the stores and the excise formalities should also be met.
What are the settings to be done in SAP to do the same?
Any suggestions will be rewarded
Regards,
Anbu
Hi
As you are aware that Raw Materials are the materials used by you for further production. If the one who buys a material from you and uses it as a raw material in their production, and that will be a finished product for you. So, you can create it as a material as you do it for any other other finished product.
eg., Nuts and Bolts purchased by a scooter manufacturer are the raw material for them and for the seller of that nuts and bolts, they are finished goods.
Thanks,
Ravi

Hi Anbu,
You can do the raw material sales & one of the way is explained below.
Ask your MM cons to allow the sales view for ROH material type. Then create a raw material with sales view data.
As SD cycle is concerned, so create a distribution channel for Raw Material Sales & set up sales area & other settings for the same. If you want to identify the RM sales at order level then create a Sales Order Type For eg-ZRMO & resp delivery document type n resp billing document type & assign these delivery doc & billing doc type into sales order type. Do all the settings as for normal sales cycle.
For excise settings, assign the billing type & delivery type under CIN settings.
The transaction cycle will be same as for any normal sales cycle.
Hope this explains your query. In case you have any further doubt then post back.
Thanks & Regards,
Antima

I forget to add specify that instead of renaming, you can copy the existing ROH code and assign a routing in ca01 with some description like packing.
Already many manufacturing industries are adopting this practice.

HI,
if your client wants to sell "raw materials" - then create those materials as semi finished goods , material type will be HALB.
here you will sales tab for these materials.
It wont be finished product- as someone these materials used in production of other product. The same customer may also buy these materils.
so advice you to create as "Semi Finished goods"
*Hope it helps,

Dear Anbusaravanan
As per Central Excise law, you are not suppose to sell the raw material from a manufacturing unit.
Hence, you rename the ROH material code with suffix A. Apart from this, you need to maintain the renamed code in j1id with numeric value "1" under the tab "Declared".
All other settings are similar to normal OR-LF-F2 process.
thanks

Hi,
Raw materials cant be sold out...
If u want to sell a raw material u should creat the same material as trading goods like that and sell...
when u take material type as raw material...
there will be no sales views so no way of selling it.

ram
