For Client Copy FAQ go through SAP Note 552711 - FAQ: Client copy.

Thanks for your quick response

The IMG in the solution manager recommends creating a new client and performing a client copy using client 000 as the source and 001 as the source of the users.

Should I just copy client 000 as you suggest and completely ignore Client 001 in case I want to work in a new client?

Hi,

001 is nothing but copy of 000.

so you can still use 001.

if you don't want to use 001 then just perform local client copy from 000 for your new client. and completely ignore Client 001

reward if helpful

this is not quite true in the Solution Manager case. 001 contains the necessary connection users (like SAPJSF) which are not in client 000. If 000 is used, the J2EE engine won't come up if the client to logon is switched to the new client before the user is created.

ABAP

- SCC4: create a new client

- SCCL: copy client 000 with profile SAP_ALL to new client

- SCCL: copy client 001 with profile SAP_USER to new client

- PFCG: generate the profile for SAPJSF

JAVA

- Change the ABAP Client for UME with config tool

... reboot your server

Hi,

you can use 001 client as solution manager client.

if you want to create your own client copy it from 000 client
