System convert PR into Schedule Line so far beyond the Plan Delivery Time

Hi SAP Gurus,

We have the below understanding in the scenario in our system.

If the plan delivery time in the External Procurement Relationship and in the inforecord is 28 days (approximately 4 weeks) does it means APO/MRP should only convert the next subsequence 4 weeks PR to JIT (schedule line) and for week 5 onwards supply element should be in Purchase Requisition only and not to be converted in schedule line.

User encounter that a particular material have fix schedule (PR converted to Schedule Line) until 8 weeks eventhough Plan Delivery Time in the External Procurement Relationship and in the inforecord specifies only 28 days (4 weeks).

Does the Plan Delivery Time in the External Procurement Relationship is the firm zone in which only in that zone the PR are converted to Schedule Line? If so, please help on why thus the system convert the PR into Schedule Line so far beyond the Plan Delivery Time(firm zone).

Confirmed there is no manual touching on the supply element.

Please help on what to check further.

Thanks in advance,

Raymond

Hi Raymond,

Planned delivery time is the Procurement Lead time, its not a horizon in which you will get the Scheduling lines. So to whatever extent system creates a PR it will create in form of Scheduling line with a delivery time of 28 days i.e expecting material to be delivered in 28 days.

Hope this clarifies your doubt..

Reward point plz...
