booking for shipment

hi all,

i have a question i donot know it is relevant or not

Is it possible to book container thro SAP system ?

i.e the scenario is the customer plan the shipment for a whole week so he needs to book the container in advance based on the shipment is it possible to config thro SAP.

if ther is a way please do tell me how to go about.

Dear Vijay,

Please go through the output determination of the shipment it may help you.

If the Trasporter having R/3 system you can link with ALE or if the transporter not having R/3 system you can link with EDI.

Take help from ABAPer to develop the output program in such way that the intimation should go to the transaporter end after completion of the shipmetn document,then he need to respond after that he needs to send the conformation about perticuler mode of trnasport, you assign that programe to the shipment output type.
