HR issue

i have developed a java based web dynpro application for portal - leave application for employee. it hits r/3 database through Standard RFCs in abap.however i am facing a problem -

when a employee access the application and at the same time if payroll processing is going on its throws a error saying employee is locked. it happens at both ends which ever process starts first.

Hi

May be in R/3 they configured in such a way that at PayRoll generation time the employees gets lockedautomatically.Check this in R/3.

May be at this time the R/3 side every activity associated with employee is locked.Because there are various factors they consider for payroll generation for ex leaves,etc.
