Printer Setup

Hi ,

In my work environment I will connect to client network through through VPN.Once I connect to VPN I can't able to take the printouts of smartforms and qoutes in the printer which is on my Local LAN(company's network).

Only possibility is to take printout on Client printers.

But I am looking for a setup where I can take the printouts on the printer in my Local LAN after connected to VPN.

Please post the possibilities.

GO TO SPAD >IN THAT OUTPUT DEVICE>SELECT DISPLAY> IN THAT SELECT LP01(DOUBLE CLICK)>GIVE DEVICE TYPE AS YOU WANT > DEVICE CLASS AS STANDEARD PRINTER>

NEXT IN ACCESS METHOD GIVE __DEFAULT(DOUBLEUNDERSCORE FOLLOWED BY DEFAULT WORD ) --> IN HOST SPOOL ACCESS METHOD GIVE F TYPE:PRINTING ON FRONT END COMPUTER.

Using SPAD to create your local printer in SAP & try...

Mohan,

When the spool request is created, define the printer that you want to print to (Company's Network) as your Local Frontend printer ie. Windows Default Printer and then try printing.

If this is not working, please let us know little more detailed explanation of what the error message is, what is happening etc.
