Hi all.
We have 4 app servers, and on one of these we do not want any background jobs to run. Currently, some jobs are running on this app server.
How can we achieve this?
Make parameter changes so that no background jobs are running on this app server?
Regards,
Thomas
Yes that's the easiest way, maybe you can setup operation modes to do this.
Check the link below, its for activating background jobs, however you can use it to deactivate also.

hi,
1. do it by changing parameters via RZ10
2. select and instance profile suits your server
3. basic maintenance
4. change value of "background" to zero
5. save
6. the restart your server
7. review again via SM51, should be no BTC (for background job) exist on that server
