Logon to my local SAP System J2E

Hello,

I installed the WAS 6.4 Sneak Preview.

Can I connect with a SAP Logon GUI to my local SAP System J2E? If yes, which version of SAP Logon do I need? If no, is there another way of working with my J2E SAP System?

What I want to do is to create a web service out of a BAPI in my SAP System.

Best regards

Mario Fehrenbach

Hey Mario,

The WAS 6.4 Sneak Preview is Java only, it doesn't include the ABAP side.

There is no sap logon gui.

To get to the j2ee engine administration, make a shortcut on your desktop to C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\admin\go.bat

To start your j2e system you can also go through the sapmmc (the install should have put an icon on your desktop for this).

Thanks Joe,

but which version of WAS does my SAP System need to create web services out of BAPIs?

Does the ABAP workbench need a special service pack?

My current SAP Test System is a R/3 enterprise System with WAS 6.2

Hi,

You need a webAS version 6.30 or higher.
