Encountered failure when trying to start J2ee engine.

By the way, How could i configure shared memory for Linux?

Can you give the complete details of std_server0.out, jvm_* files

Looks like all work process are dying out ... how much is the memory of box, on whcih java is installed ?

the java dispatcher in the instance is not able to start because of some reasons .

it could be because of shared memory .

check the defualt traces amd checkl the sm21 logs ,

check the developer trace dev_w0 , there might be soemhting which you can find there.

Did you import the profiles using rz10 , after the installation of ABAP stack.

Sometimes after the java add in installation , the changes made in instance profile is not refelcted in OS level , and java reads profile in OS before starting.So you can try doing a schronize of both profiles at DB and OS level.

But its that any error/warning related with j2ee engine failed to startup?

I had check & synchronize with profile RZ10 and ensured that instance profile and default profile were consistent with OS level profile.

What to do with tuning Shared Memory Configuration in UNIX box??

Beside that, how was my Java VM settings in config tool? Is that fine?

Someone had suggest me to decrease ABAP work process and increase dispatch max-new-size parameter value in config tools.

I sure this is related to Shared memory configuration of your UNIX box. 1.You may need to bouce the box to clear the shared mem

2.IF you have changed the profile parameters, revert it back to see it works.

Java Dispatcher & Sever 0 stated keep in starting status.

Tried few solutions.

1.) adjusting Rz11 Instance Profile with java parameters (as attached in previous messages screen shot)

2.) Java Virtual Memory settings ( but not sure my configuration for this part was correct, kindly refer to attached screen shot as well)
