Suspense Account for Inventory

Hi All

I am in the process of auditing a suspense account for inventory being posted on this account. The problem experienced is that it has been identified that all unallocated stock arising from inventoy movements in warehouse gets allocated to the suspense account. What are the processes/procedures of preventing this from happening and what process can be recommended to clear this suspense account as there is a backlog and which transactions can be used to audit and check movements going to this account on SAP.

If possible, can anyone supply me with the audit documentation.
