Hi,

Refer to the following links which will help you to understand the GP & CAF.

It provides 2 tools

In general, Guided Procedures are best suited for sequential, human based processes. It spend few time and the conexion between the parts of the process is simpliest.

GP can integrate a lot of technologies like Adobe form java web dynpro...

I hope it helps

Hi,

Here is what I would say:

Pros

1. Automatic process context management

2. Good support for Process roles

3. A large number of types of callable objects

4. Integration with SAP UI technologies like Web Dynpro and Visual Composer

5. Integration with Adobe IF

6. Ability to execute web/enterprise services

7. Good life-cycle management APIs support

8. Support for process related stuff like dynamic parallel steps, ad-hoc tasks, branching, looping etc.

Cons

1. Very poor designtime support

2. Parameter mapping between blocks/actions is not intuitive at all & is very cumbersome

3. GP is not meant for long running processes. It works well for short lived processes

4. It has some usability issues.

5. While integrating with WD, automatic completion of a process step is not supported (other integration issues exist too)

6. Performance is a big issue for GP

Satyajit.
