Dear All,
I want to install ECC 6.0 UC IDES on HP UX IA64 platform.
On Windows 2003 Standard server (32bit) it takes approximately 200GB for the drive where usr & oracle (sapdata) directory exists.
What will be the filesystem details (filesystem / size) for the ECC 6.0 UC IDES on HP UX IA64.
I have read the installation guide but no specific information exists for the IDES installation.
Thanks & Regards
Sudip Ghosh
You may need the following FS.
/sapmnt/<SID>
/usr/sap
/usr/sap/<SID>
/usr/sap/trans
/oracle
/oracle/client
/oracle/<SID>
/oracle/<SID>/102_64
/oracle/<SID>/origlogA
/oracle/<SID>/origlogB
/oracle/<SID>/mirrlogA
/oracle/<SID>/mirrlogB
/oracle/<SID>/oraarch
/oracle/<SID>/sapreorg
/oracle/<SID>/sapdata1
/oracle/<SID>/sapdata2
/oracle/<SID>/sapdata3
/oracle/<SID>/sapdata4
/oracle/<SID>/sapdata5.........> this varies

Hi all experts,
I am new in SAP line and now I need to install ECC6.0 IDES in Window Server 2003 Standard Edition. I installed SQL Server 2005 SP2, can anyone guide me how do I continue to install SAP Solution Manager and ECC6.0 SR2? What is the minimum hard disk space needed?

Thanks all SAP experts guidance! I have downloaded SAP notes 1013391, hope I can installed successfully. Since full installation (SAP Solution Manager + System) needs 300GB harddisk space. Is this possible for me to create a simple image for me to familiar with the system structure? What kind of procedure if possible to create?

Hi,
installation is same for both.
ECC6.0 IDES and SAP ERP 6.0 SR3 both are different .
IDES is used for demo purpose or training purpose.
SAP ERP 6.0 is used as productive. ( used by company after implementation)
if you install SAP ERP 6.0 on your laptop it's comes empty. no data is there.
and one more thing you can not install SAP ERP 6.0 SR3 on 32 windows it's required 64 bit windows.
and you can not install ERP system for single module.
i suggest you to increase your HDD space and install ECC 6.0 IDES for training purpose.

kaushal
Thanks to Kaushal for the useful information. So in this case, if I choose to install ECC6.0 IDES for training and demo purpose, I need to install Window Server 2003 x64 and harddisk requirement will be at least 300GB? I have confuse in this huge harddisk requirement because my one of the SAP friend is doing FI module and his laptop harddisk is only 80GB, how could he use it for self study and program testing? Is my way of installation method goes wrong?

Hi,
installation size is database specific
check Note 1013391 - IDES ERP 2005 ECC 6.0 SR2
create the file system according to size of database.
following for example only

/usr/sap/ SID -> 5 GB
/usr/sap/trans-> 5 GB
/oracle -> 5 GB
/oracle/SID -> 10 GB
/oracle/SID/102_64-> 10 GB
/oracle/SID/sapdata1-> 50 GB
/oracle/SID/sapdata2-> 50 GB
/oracle/SID/sapdata3-> 50 GB
/oracle/SID/sapdata4-> 50 GB
/oracle/SID/sapdata5-> 50 GB
/oracle/SID/sapdata6-> 50 GB
/oracle/SID/origlogA-> 1 GB
/oracle/SID/origlogB-> 1 GB
/oracle/SID/mirrlogA-> 1 GB
/oracle/SID/mirrlogB-> 1 GB
/oracle/SID/oraarch-> 30GB
/oracle/SID/sapreorg-> 10GB
