copy control

HI,

what is the advantage of copy control,how it is effictive in sales order-delivey-& billing document.Give me one example each steps so that i can understood for customization.

In Std SAP only 6 types of copy controls are possible

VTFA - Sales to Billing

VTLA - Sales to Delivery

VTAA - Sales to Sales

VTFL - Delivery to Billing

VTFF - Billing to Billing

VTAF - Billing to Sales

The advantage of copy control settings are it controls the flow of data from one document to another at header & item level. Incase of Salas to sales & Sales to delivery, it also controls the flow of data from schedule line.

We should ensure that Item Category being used in transaction is configued at Item level in copy control, else it will give an error & will not allow to process subsequent document.

Which documents may be used as the basis for the billing document?

Which documents may be used as the basis for the billing document?

Should the order quantity or delivery quantity be invoiced?

According to which requirements is a sales document to be billed?

Should pricing be carried out again or should prices be copied from the sales order?

Copy Control controls the flow of data from preceding document to subsequent document.

Sales Order to Sales Order (QT --> OR): VTAA

Sales Order to Delivery (OR --> LF): VTLA

Sales Order to Billing (OR --> F1): VTFA

Delivery to Billing(LF --> F2): VTFL

Billing to Sales Order (F2 --> RE): VTAF

Are you talking about Copy Control of conditions

It is used to copy condition value of a condition type for one organization data to other .

for e.g.

Price of a material is 100 for one customer and u want to copy it to other customer then u can copy it using Copy condition button in VK11.
