Quality management in Customer consignment

Hi there ,

In my scenerio I am creating the sales order for consignment then after delievery I want the stock to move in Quaility inspection in the storage location for the customer consignment....

Please suggest me the inspection type that I need to update for the same in the material master........ I have checked the movement type it is 631 ......

Dear Kaushik

If you want to move the stock to quality b4 doing PGI, it is very well possible. But once you do PGI via 631 movement, the stock from Unrestricted will be moved to Customer Consignment which is nothing but special stock. Once you moved to special stock, you should not force quality to come into picture.

Suppose that during the movement from mfg to customer consignment storage location...... then if the material gets damaged how can we handle the same ........

Dear Kaushik

For that you need to follow consignment pick up for which have the following:-

Sales document: KA

Item category: KAN

schedule line category: F0 & F1

via 632 movement type

While doing so, you also have the material master Quality Management view where you should assign "06" inspection type so that the returned stock will be blocked for quality clearance.
