My client uses an MIS system and wants it to be updated automatically through figures in SAP.
Can this be done.
Rgds
This is very much possible.
To create automatic MIS form your MIS software, this MIS Software should have the capacity to fetch the data from SAP Data base. Once u confirm this create a desired report in ur MIS software . Use proper Table & Fields to extract data.
Now u can ware house the data if MIS software permits you or use it on runtime Basis.

Halo SD Guy
There are several ways for you to deliver MIS
1. SAP BI: is the warehousing and reporting platform from SAP and is widely used by organizations to create a platform for MIS. You will first need to check if you have this solution installation available at your site. The integration between most SAP products and BI is fairly straightforward
2. For some basic reporting, there are some standard queries available from SAP in the form of Information Systems within SAP (e.g. Sales Information System, Logistics Information System etc) These are easily accessible and usable from your standard SAP menu.
3. Third party products like crystal reports / cognos etc are also used sometimes.
