Hi,

Pricing date is used to determine rate of the condition type on particular date maintained in condition record.

The paricing date is maintained at header level of a sales doc./order (sales tab)

Hope it is useful.

In condition type, If you maintain an entry in pricing date then system date is taken as default to determine condition record's validity

Hi,

In a company, the materials prices keeps on changing after some interval of time.

Suppose from 11.04.2008 to 20.04.2008, your material price was Rs. 100.

But now from 21.04.2008 to 30.04.2008 price has been changed to Rs. 110.

Now in Pricing Date field whatever the date you give there, accordingly the prices of that material will be picked up. Supose you give Pricing Date as 15.04.2008 thn Rs. 100 will be picked up.

This is the reason there is a Valid From & Valid to Condition in the Pricing Condition Records, so that you can maintain multiple pricing at asingle time.

I think this will help your problem.

Reward if helpful.

Dear Rajendra,

Pricing date

Based on this option you can control the pricing date of that perticuler condition type in the sales order.

Enter the identification code for the date to which a condition of this type is to be calculated in the sales document. If you do not enter an identification code, the pricing date or the date of services rendered is used.

Example

If you want to use the goods issue date as the calculation date for freight surcharges. In this case, you enter 'A' as the identification code.

If you want pricing date as billing date then you can choose 'C' option.

I hope it will help you

Regards

Murali.
