QA33-Add Material discription

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a possibility to include material discription in QA33.I was able to find one of the threads where it says to include QEVA_SUBSCREEN_1101 using BAdI.I'm not sure if this is the right one.Please suggest

hi,

Set the layout accordingly.

in the layout incorporate the field "Short Text for Inspection Object"

That will 100% work for you.

Hi all,

My requirement is -

Whenever I go to QA33 or QA32,I need not to select new layout manually and directly this layout sholud be selected.

I have able to did it by changing the default settings of the variant.

But my problem is that variant is user specific and so if i login with different user name,this setting is not valid for him.

How can i do this default setting common for all the users.

Create a system variant containing the name of the saved layout you created.

Create the variant like you normally would. When you go to save it specify the name SAP&TCODE_QA33 as the variant name. (SAP&TCODE_QA32 for the QA32 transaction).

I have tried as you told.

When i am specifying the name as "SAP&TCODE_QA32",system is asking me,

"Do you want to adopt the new assignment?"

What shall I choose?

I tried both but in both cases(old & new assignment),when i try to save variant,it is asking me "Do you want to overwrite variant SAP&TCODE_QA32?"

I said yes, next screen comes,

"Prefix SAP& is reserved for

SAP system variants

New variant name:

SAP&TCODE_QA32"

and when i say "Create",it is giving error as "Variant SAP&TCODE_QA32 already exists"

Do it through config then. (Note: 6.0 system)

QM >Quality Inspection>List Definition-->Define Variants (List View Function)

Then double click on line "QA32/QA33 Inspection Lots"

Pick either the display mode (QA33) or the change mode (QA32).

Enter in what you want. Hit the green back arrow and confirm the save.

I tried all these through the specified path only( Customization---list defination) .

and also directly through QA32

but

in both cases i am getting same above mentioned error

If it already exists, just overwrite it then.
