TP Return Code 249

Hi Experts

We are using ecc6 with mssql 2005, when we transport i am getting error

"No connect due to DbSl Load Lib Failure

environment variable dbms_type is not set."

I have checked in stms, check connection there also it's throwing error

ERROR: No connect due to DbSl Load Lib Failure

ERROR: environment variable dbms_type is not set.

ERROR: Connect to SD3 failed (20080422225132).

INFO: no trace information stored

tp returncode summary:

ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0249

standard output from tp and from tools called by tp:

As per sap note175627 i have set all the required variables but still i am facing error.

Kindly help Me

Hi, all

We are using only one server, i have upgraded my kernel from 114 to 133 after this only this is happening

You did not update your kernel properly, library files were not copied properly. what OS you are using?

Also check in case you are using mutiple application servers for SD3 that this value is set on all application servers as system variables.

Is it set as "user variable" or "system variable"... need to be a "system variable"

Create the environmental varibale dbms_type, the value of this variable will depend on the db you're running... if Oracle then dbms_type=ora, if MSSQL then dbms_type=mss, etc...
