customer not defined for sales area

Dear all,

when i am trying to create a customer with export sales org and distribution channel along with division the system refuse to accept this combination and throws an error stating that

this sales area is not defined for this customer.what could be the possible reason for this problem.Your prompt support will definitely be rewarded with suitable points.

Please check the below:

SPRO Settings: Definition for Sales Organisation - Distribution Channel and Division

Check the Assigment Part of Sales Organisation - Distribution Channel and Division

Also Check the Set Up Of Sales Area.

problem was due to the non asignment of the common distribution channel.Thankyou every body who helped me in this.

1. Go to transaction OVXG and see whether you have made correct assignment of your sales area

2. While creating the customer check whether you are using correct sales organisation, distribution channel, division.

Check the common distribution channel and division, maintain it if you have not done.

SPRO --> Sales and distribution --> Master data --> Define common distribution channel / Division.
