We have upgraded to:
MDM Version 5.5 SP6, 5.5.62.33
Before this patch was loaded we used Text delimted with tab delimiter (\t) in the Import Manager for uploading of records.
After the patch update the text delimited file can be used with the tab (\t) as delimiter. When the file is read however it is read without any delimiter and is imported as a string.
I have tried to change to comma delimited ( with no luck ( error).
Anyone that came accross this problem, please advise.
Interesting enough is that the MDIS system still works fine.
Thanks for any imput
CHris

Hi Chris,
Your source file is working fine with most of the SP06 patches used by others.
Still if its not working on your MDM server you can try one more thing
- Save your .txt file with UTF-8 encoding as MDM uses this encoding. If your .txt file is not using tis encoding it may be giving an error due to this.
- Then try importing again with the smae delimiter as you have given in your file through Import manger.
- If it still does not work then probably it could be a patch issue.
Hope it helps
Kindly reward points if found useful
Thanks
Simona

HI Chris,
I tried your test data in 5.5 sp6 (5.5.62.33).
Tried Importing through import Manager.
If you import with the type DELIMITED TEXT ,
Delimiter - give a space , so just hit the space bar key once.
and try importing the record .I did this way,it works fine.
Thanks,
Felix
