Need to enter order type at the time of order creation through MD04

Hi,

we need to enter order type when creating process order through MD04.

In our scenario system pick up default order type PI01 where as there is not order type assigned in scheduling profile which is assigned to the material.

pl give some clues

Sadan,

Check out Transaction Code: OPPE "Define Order Type for Conversion to Production/Process Order"

Here you define the order type that is automatically set when converting planned orders into production orders or process orders.

Seems for the plant where you are trying to convert planned order to process order, order type is not set. Hence when you try to convert the same through MD04 you have to give order type everytime to convert to production order.

check in T code CORY for your plant there will be scheduling profile where you have assigned the default order type
