hi,

As my knowledge is concern there you dont find any changes if you have more than one or two sales organization.

But the process of creating sales order is subjected to the assigment of sales area. And no effect is going to take place in FI

Wt are the advantages and disadvatages when we created more sales organizations.

The advantage is that some materials are to be sold through that sales area for eg : import or export. and diff sales area for domestic sales.

Disadvantage is traking of sales order is quiet compilable in one sales organization

It is enough if you just click the "Answered" button without adding any comments due to which all your old threads are coming on top which could have been avoided.

Impact of Multiple Sales Organization:

Firstly, it is recommended to have only one sales organization per country. Incase of Multiple Sales Organizations, the impact is as under:

1. Higher Volume of Master Data, such as Customer Master, Material Master, Vendor Master, Pricing Condition Master & so on.....

2. Higher volume of configuration required.

3. Uses higher memory place.

4. Probably impact on system performance with increasing repetitive master data.

Hello,

As and when you increase the organisational elements, the enterprise structure also will be bigger. When the structrue is bi the complexity of transaction will also increase. But if there is a requirement of adding more sales organisation, you need to do it. Addins one more sales org will give more transperency on the transactions and more control over the business.

The BW reporting will be very clear in terms os business is concerned.

You need to make many assignemnts, is you add one more sales org. The sales areas, sales offices, plant assignements, internal cuatomers,... etc...

Hi,

If you r creating a new sales org (more than one)

following activities has to be done:

in IMG

*create sales org -

  • assign sales org to comp code

  • assign dist channel to sales org

*assign div to sales org

*set up sales area

*assign sales office to sales org ( if u maintain any sales office )

*assign plant to sales org-dist channel.

*Business area-BA assignment has to be done( if BA derivation rule is based on sales aera)

*Pricing procedure determination has to re-check

*Account determination has to check -VKOA(if any table based on sales org )

Master Data

*Customer Masters has to extend to new sales area

*Sales Material tabs has to maintain for the materials

*price condition records has to generate which is based on Sales org specific.

*hope it helps

Hi

More number of Sales Organisations leads to creating more number of Sales Areas and there by creating huge Master Data (for different sales areas)

The advantage of having more sales areas(only to some extent) is better control over the sales process.

hi

If u maintain more sales organisations... at the same time u have to maintain more Sales Areas. that's it. and also u have to assign plants to combination of sales org and Distribution channels.
