Hi All,

Where can i get xomLite45.jar file ? Some links are there in MDM but when i try to unzip it is stating that no files are there

Use ur service market place id.

Here just download the pdf file -

"How to generate XSD schema from existing MDM 5.5 repository ".

Once you download it has two folders.,on one of the folders you will find the jar file.

Then you may follow the pdf or the above procedure given by MDM experts to convert it into XSD.

Hi,

We had similar problems, instead of xomlite,

we used Freeware Liquid XML Studio to generate xsd and xml.

Hi,

Is this works for SP6? I followed the steps

1.Downloaded and saved xml file in this path

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\HowToGenerateXsdSp6\xomLite45\java -jar xomLite45.jar MyRepository.xml

2. used command prompt to run the file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>HowToGenerateXsdSp6\xomLite45\java -jar xomLite45.jar MyRepository.xml

in command prompt i am getting an error stating that ' HowToGenerateXsdSp6\xomLite45\java -jar' is not recognized as external or internal command, operable program or batch file.

Can any one help me in this issue?

Hi Priya

Please follow the below steps:

1. Create the Schema Migration File (XML) of the repository.

2. Put the XomLite45.jar , templates folder and the XML into the java/bin folder.

3. Go the command prompt and to the path inside the bin folder

e.g. C:\j2sdk1.4.15\bin

4. Write the following command

C:\j2sdk1.4.15\bin>java -jar XomLite45.jar Test.XML

You will get your XSD file into the same bin folder

Hi,

You require a repository structure to start off with the proceedings.

Please follow the steps :

1. Right click on the rep schema-> Export repository schema ( Save it on your desktop)

2. The schema that you have exported, will be needed to create the XSD.

3. To convert the XML into XSD, we require a "Xomlite" ( which You have got using Simona's link). And we require JAVA to run it.

4. For that, we need to copy the Templates, XOMLITE and the repository schema that you have exported. Place these 3 files in the Java Environment Bin folder.

D:\j2sdk1...\bin

5. Now we need to run the Jar File in JAVA.

6. Go to CMD in RUN.

7. go to D:\> cd j2sdk1.....\bin

8. go to D:\> cd j2sdk1.....\bin> java -jar Xomlite45.jar

9. this will ask for the file name - enter the Rep schema Name that you have placed in the Bin folder.

D:\> cd j2sdk1.....\bin> java -jar Xomlite45.jar File.xml

This will create the XSD in the same BIn folder.
