Hi
Have some ABAP querys that were generated by user and run via SQ01.
Now user wants to run them as background jobto generated a file automatically with out running it manually . Please explain me how to do this.
Thanks
Suchi
Hi Friend,
1. Schedule the program for ABAP query in background job
2. Generate the output into spool request
3. Read the spool request and convert it into a file.

Hi Suchitra,
In SM36 You can give any name to your Job
1. Start condition: this will how your job will be run. Daily, weekly, Monthly, immediately one time etc. Click on green flag that says Start condition - It is simple browse and apply
2.Step: You create varient for program and set those up in program name and variant. and save.
(You can set print specification also at this point.).
Instead of above two you can use Job Wizard also. Simple step by step process ..
Once you schedule it you should be able to see in SM37.
Let me know, if you get any issue while doing it
1. Get to the selection screen of your query.
2. Than Program > Execute in Background or functional key F9
3. Press Enter on the "Background Print Parameters" Screen. Here you can also change the properties for the spool like print only first 5 pages etc.
4. In the screen "Start Time" select the time when you want to start the job.
e.g. Immediate:
Press Immediate. Select the "Periodic Job" if you want to run the job on each period.
You can specify the Period valuds by pressing the "Period Values"
Press the save button.
You can monitor your job using SM37.

Hi Friend,
01. Assign a transactioonn code to your query
02. Then define a batch job (backgroung processing) for your query.
03. Define the extraction of output to file on desktop.
