Hi Experts,

Where the archive reposity stored?

Can we track when we have taken archive and unarchive reposiry and load the repository?I mean to say is there any time field that mention that when at what time that archive has been taken?

Hi shalini,

Archive repositories are stored in the archive folder under the MDM server path.

Wherever the MDM server is installed ,under the server folder you will find a Folder named ARCHIVES.

This is where the .a2i files are stored.

To archive a Repo:

- MDM Console

- Right click on the rep->archive

- It will automatically go and be placed in the archive folder

To Unarchive the rep:

- MDM Console

- Right click on the rep->Unarchive

- You will see all the list of rep is this archive folder select the rep you you want to unarchive.

- You also have the option to unarchive only the schema or schema with the data.

There is no provision to save the date and time of archive nad unarchive

But however a workaround could be

When ever you archive a rep you need to give it a name you can use a naming convention such that you give the data and time of archiving it.

eg Material master 042108

What ever you have said is very useful. I have also seen the log. But that time was not the time of arive unarchive or load repository.

Hi Shalini,

Actually I meant to say the Report which is present for every reposiotry.

Addiitonallly, There is a diff between Log and report.

Log is for the server. and the Report is for a repository.

GO to Repository->Admin->Report

You will find the time there.

Hi Shalini,

The Archived Files are stored and retrieved from the Archives directory under the MDM server.

For Archive Folder, go where the server is intalled,

It will be basically in - > C:\Progarm Files\MDM server\Archive

All the files that you archive, get stored over there in the format of .A2i.

There is no as such time stamp which keeps track of the Time when the Archive/Load was made.

I think, you can just check archiving a Repository. The archived file will be placed in the Archive Folder automatically. And I think the Time stamp automatically appears along with the File name. Kindly check it out.( I cant check now, as I do not have the server access)

For checking the time the Repository was loaded you will have to go to LOG in the Console where every activity is tracked.
