<SID>adm user is getting locked by Kernel(KNL).

Hi Folks,

We are curretnly running on SAP SCM 5.0.

<SID>adm user is getting locked by Kernel(KNL).

As per the locked time of the user, it is losked around 10 PM by KNL and there are NO users in the system yet.

As per our understanding it looks like <SID>adm is getting locked by some background job.

Any help in solving this problem is appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

this sounds to me that incorrect logon attempts are locking the user.

Pls verify if there are some jobs running in your systemlandscape which try to access your system, where the problem occurs. Verify then the (rfc-)connections to your system. Is the user used in some of them? Is the password correctly maintained (please use the authroization test in SM59).

Some useful information is also in [SAPNote495911|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/495911] and [SAPNote171805|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/171805].

Good luck....

Thanks for the reply.

We are going through the notes and Background jobs.

I will revert back once I find the bottleneck.
