Hi friends,,
In real time
a company (Production server) is maintaining how many clients ????
I am not asking about Land scape...
thanking you
HI Manu,
its not same- therez no restirctions like how many clients has to maintain.
its entirely depends upon the Buinsess decision.
some proj's have 3 servers ( PRD- QLTY - DEV)
some have, PRD - DEV/QLTY)
n there could be chance like PRD-PRE, PRD - QLTY - TEST - DEV. ( i working this kind of landscape in my previous project) ,bcoz this client is world top-2 company in IS-OIL.Bcoz of complexity they want thsi kind of Landscape-
but typical strucure will be-
PRD - only one client- 110
(where all the master data & Transaction data & Config data will be avaialable- all live data will be stored here )
QLTY- 120 Only one client.
will be used for both purposes-
*while resolving tickets- this server is replica of production server,
used for replicating the production transaction in qlty client,
hence you can investigate further to find a solution.
IMG is available (only for display)
DEV- Client - 777/666
Client - 777 also known as Config/Golden client
any config change will be done it Config client.
for testing it will transported to Client:666.
after successful testing will be moved to
QLTY - Client-120
this is for UAT-User Acceptance Test,
then this will moved to Prd-client after relevant getting
the approval from the concerned authorities.
Hope it clears

Ideally, in a production server there should be only 1 client i.e the Real Time Transaction & Master Data.
For Develpment & Testing, it should be done in separate servers ideally.

Hi,
It may be depend on the size and complexity of the project.
Example:
Production Client : 010
Test : 020
Development : 030
Golden client : 040
Training : 050
This is a typical scenario.
