XML Conversion error for special characters like "& @...."

Hello Experts,

I am working with MI 7.1. I am getting XML messages from PalmTop or Windows mobile.

If client passes special characters like & than I am getting error in SAP XML Parsing in inbound queue.

and from client side they can not restrict these kind of characters.

I need to convert & to "&amp;" and < to "&lt;" likewise... then I'll not get errors.

So pls suggest me any function module which satisfy my requirements.
