LO Extraction - Second Extractor

Hi all,

We have set up LO extraction for a particular extractor (2LIS_04_P_MATNR) and delta loads are now running. We recently activated another extractor (2LIS_04_P_COMP) in the same application (application number 04).

1) What is the procedure for filling set up tables and activating deltas for this extractor?

2) Do we need to disturb the existing delta to activate delta for the new one?

3) Now the job control is active for the first extractor - that means I cannot change the job control for this newly activated extractor?

Basically, I'm trying to understand what steps to follow when working with a new LO extractor within the same application that already has another extractor currently providing deltas.

1 .Steps in filling seup tables and activating deltas:

In SBIW transaction

Setting for Application-Specific Datasources>Logistics>Managing Extract Structures-->Initialization

>Filling the Setup tables>Application-Specific Setup of statistical data-->SD Sales Orders(In you case search for your application component)–> Perform Setup

Specify a Run Name and time and Date (put future date) and Execute.

Your deltas will get activated only when you initialize delta in the infopackage. When you initialize the delta from the infopackage the delta queue will get activated in RSA7 for that particular datasource.

2) Do we need to disturb the existing delta to activate delta for the new one?

If you are not filling the setuptables in the foregound( ie if you execute the filling of setuptables by pressing F9 it will fill the setuptable in the background. if you press F8 it will get ecexuted in the foreground) you will have to stop the V3 job for application 04. after that you will have to drain the delta queue for 2LIS_04_P_MATNR by excecuting the infopackage. But this process will not disturb the delta of 2LIS_04_P_MATNR. Once the setup table is filled for 2LIS_04_P_COMP, again you can start the V3 jobs for application 04.

If you excecute the filling of setuptables in background you dont have to stop the V3 jobs.

3.Now the job control is active for the first extractor - that means I cannot change the job control for this newly activated extractor?

Job control is for a particular application(for eg in your case its application 04) . You cant set job control for your individual datasources.

Hi,

First of all you need to send all data in delta queue to BW otherwise you can not fill setup table.Go to lbwg and there put 04 to delete setup table and run oli4bw to fill setup table.After completing to fill setup table you can start initialization but be sure there is no transaction in the system while doing all there.You need to do nothing with delta job.It will continue to work well.
