while creating customer i am facing following prblem, communication error with the external tax system (vertex_MS0018)...

It's a communication error between SAP system and Vertex.

It's a common problem and you should talk to your Basis consultant to check it.

Since you are working on a US customer, you cannot deactivate connection with Vertex.

Hello,

I believe this error is appearing when you are creating the customer in country US. The taxation system in US is vertex, this is a seperate system working in liase with SAP. I think with the help of BASIS person you can deactivate the same.

Is the message is an error message or an information??
