problem with NWDS perspective

hi all,

i am not able to open the "Data modeller" for a component and

"Navigation modeller" for a window in a component for any project in NWDS in webDynPro perspective.

when i open the context menu for a component and click on "open data modeller" ....it doesnt open the data modeller i.e the diagram view

how can i open the data modeller and navigation modeller.

help me ....

You can try different things, like

- Reset perspective

- starting NWDS with option "-clean"

- using a new workspace

thanks all......

i deleted the .metadata directory in the workspace.

however i had to re-import the all the projects into the workspace which is quite laborious task.....

anyways the problem is solved.

if we use "-clean" option, do we have to re-import the projects or will

the metadata be saved.

do we have any restrictions on workspace....

how can we effectively use the workspace....(max no. of projects, ...)

When using "-clean", the workspace remains untouched. There exists an upper limit for the number of currently opened files, this can sometimes be exceeded when working with Web Dynpro, you get then an error "no more handles".

Hi Sudheer,

If you are not able to open the Data Modeler & Navigation Modeler then try deleting the ".metadata" folder which exists in your workspace. And then open your NWDS which will ask you for a workspace. Now select the workspace folder and continue. This will solve your problem.
