Hello

Do the below mentioned process.

Open the ConfigTool ( for Windows - <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance name>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat, For Linux - \usr\sap\<SID>\<instance name>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.sh)

Expand the node 'Global server configuration

3) Under 'Global server configuration', expand the node 'services

4) Then under 'services', click on com.sap.security.core.ume.service

5) In the right side, you will see a table. There you can change the values of UME properties

Click on change button.

On the bottom side you can see the value of parameters.

Then you can change it and click on set.

6) After you change the property click on "save" button

7) Restart the entire J2EE Engine

Reward point if issue solve.

Hello Rohit Mehta,

I have already sent him the steps you mentioned above. But he wants to do another thing. He wants to add new properties in the UME service. I am not sure if it's possible. What do you think?

Hello Bruno Ambrozio,

Usually it's not necessary to add a property on UME. What exactly do you want to do? What is the property that you want to add?

Hi Rafael,

Our applications using some properties, configure for user. To don´t keep this properties archive in structure applications, we would like to configure these properties on WEB AS (by Config Tool, Portal, Visual Adm), to facility for our client.

Any idea?

Hello Bruno,

What exactly are the UME properties that you want to add? I am so sorry, but I couldn't find any information about how to add a new UME property (and I don't know if it's possible).

Best regards,

You have to do this in the ConfigTool.

Follow the steps below:

2) Expand the node 'Global server configuration'

3) Under 'Global server configuration', expand the node 'services

4) Then under 'services', click on com.sap.security.core.ume.service

5) In the right side, you will see a table. There you can change the values of UME properties

Hello Rafael,

We want to add a property and don´t update it.

Is there a other way to create properties (user, password, host)... ??

Thanks for your attention.

Bruno
