Hi experts,
I have a problem, I want to migrate my SQL Server 2000 database of my WAS.
I have two similar WAS systems over both SQL DB's, I want to copy the database of one system to the database of the second system, that is, to have the same data on the two systems.
How dan I do this?? I tried to backup one DB and restore it in the other system but it doesn´t finish ok.
I'm new on this task and don´t know how to do!!
Thanks in advance.
Daniel,
I think you could use complete system backup-restore products such as the one from Veritas where complete registry and filesystems including programs are backed-up and can be restored likewise.
You save from having to do it the database level and ensures consistency.
If there are other better / faster ways to migrate the same database for SAP, pls advise thanks!
I hope to discuss migration of SAP from one server to a new one, with experts here.
