Whenever I try to print an adobe form using LOCL I get the error: "Cannot find PDL type for output device LOCL."
Preview or printing using other printer works.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Thanks,
Hi Paul,
While printing, go to the 'Advanced' option, and check 'Print as image', and try printing the document.

I don't think I explained clearly enough.
In ABAP, when I go in iw3d transaction and try to print the adobe form for a certain PO with LOCL as the printer I get the above mentioned error and program stops there.
I did some further research on this and it seems that my LOCL printer is of type SWIN and this does not support PDFs.
Is there any other device type or setting that would make LOCL print pdf files?
Hi Paul,
Unfortunatly you can't use printer "LOCL" for print preview for Adobe Forms . you need to define a printer set in transaction SPAD because SAP System need to know which can of printer it is .
While using printer LOCL , the SAP System retrieve the information of the printer from your desktop, it's not store in SAP .
Try with another printer that should work.
Best regards.
