I am trying to create delivery but the picking option is in display" why?

Hi,

You said the in delivery Picking option is grayed out. Then it may have two reasons

1. Either you have Warehouse management maintained in you system.

Meaning you cant do manual picking in the delivery, the picking field will be grayed out in the delivery. You have to Create a Tranfer Order (TO) using T. Code LT03

Or in delivery click on Subsequent Funtions -> Create Transfer Order, then it will to you to the screen, where the Tranfer order is created. Click on Generate TO Item, and save it, and Click on Confirm -> Confirm Tranfer Order.

2. If the Material is not relevent for Picking then also picking option will be grayed out. This can be maintained at the item category level. Go to the item category (VOV7) of that material, and check relevent for picking.

Picking field is in display mode if delivery item category is not relevant for picking.

For example go to 0VLP, select TAN and note that relevant for picking is checked.

plz check for in 0vlp for the delivery item category wheather , item relavent for picking is checked or not

If you have assigned Warehouse mgmt, then the picking feild will be grayed out

Hi Friend,

you must be trying to create the delivery with standard data, the picking option is greyed out because the delivery needs shipment and picking would happen through creation of shipments (VT01N) or through transfer order (LT01). The standalone delivery document would not allow you to create picking.
