Negative stock in Interim storage type

HI,

suppose i have blocked all my bins for stock removal. then if i do goods issue using MB1B from warehouse location to outside warehouse location then negative stock is generated at 921 transfer as TO doesnt get created for that material document as bins are blocked for stock removal.

my requirement is to stop Goods issue or we can say stop material document creation if negative stock is getting generated at interim storage type

i done want negative stocks in warehouse

Please can any one help.

Hi

I think that you have had the answer to your question. I am trying to get people to keep the forum tidy. If you have what you require could you award you points if you want to and mark your question as answered.

This helps everybody as there are at the moment 48 pages of open questions and if people do not close them the forum will grow and then people like me will not go through all of the pages as it takes too long and some people will not get answers to their questions.

u can set the storage type in config that not allows neagtive stock...

hi thakns for the reply i have did that config but still the message that i am getting is negative stock is not allowed at interim storage type but however system will create a negative stock.

so that config is not working.

Dear Digvijay,

I'm afraid your desire is against the concept of interim storage type. Even if you do not allow negative stock in your system, interim storage type will allow negative stock since this is essential part of its (technical) function.

Please consider this!

If you have minus stock in one of your interim storage type please check LB10 or LU04, maybe you have unprocessed TR or posting change notice.

Your stock levels in WM and IM should be in harmony even if you have temporarily minus stock in your interim storage type.

(If you have no TR / PCN and negative stock in interim storage type exists, you should check the stock situation of your material, and you can move the relevant stock by LT01 / LT10 from a normal storage bin to the interim one. In this way your minus stock should disappear)
