Hi All,
When we are dealing with Proxy--File scenarios
After we triggered the proxy from SAP R/3 we are able to see the Messeges in MONI of SAP R/3.
But if I used IDOC--File scenario, then why can't i see the Msg's in MONI???

Dear Suman
IDOC adapter resides on BAP stack and can directly communicate to integration server
So whenever you send an IDOC then this the duty of MODULE PROCESSER to convert IDOC data to IDOC-XML
hope this might have answered your question
cheers

Hi
When you send some message using Proxy on R/3 system it will executed by Integration Engine of R/3 system. Hence you will see the message in SXMB_MONI tcode of R/3 system.
However when post some IDOC, R/3 system acts as an application system(similar to a file system). Hence no message in MONI of R/3 system.
Thanks,

hi ,
the process of converting of an idoc to idoc -xml is happens in integration server, that why u are able to see all xml meassges and integration server mssges at xi side through
SXMB_MONI .
when ur running abap proxy scenerio ,for this no adpter engine comes into picture ,directly it goes into integrtion engine .
there is two table starting with mane RX ,they store all mssges and log records ,from here u r able to see mssgs through SXMB_MONI .
Hi Suman !
Whenever we have IDOC as a sender structure, we don't use a sender IDOC communication channel , because the sender channel will pass the messages from sender adapter engine to integration engine. But since the IDOC adapter engine resides in the Integration engine , there is no need for sender communication channel as u said previously....
But, the IDOC from R/3 will reach the IDOC adapter which is in the integration engine and the IDOC adapter will transform it to IDOC-XML .If u dont want it to convert into IDOC XML and retain the same format, Then u shud change the parameters in SXMB_ADM. This process is called tunneling.
Thnx,
Laawanya
Hi,
One more query is
If i used Proxy --file scenario.
When this data will be converted into XML format.
Means before reaching to IE of SAP R/3????
Or after reaching to IE of SAP R/3??
I want to know the process flow of Proxy upto reaching of XI system
Can u please summarize these??
Double points are awaiting
Regards
Suman
Hi Suman,
Proxy is used to hide the complexity of being converting complex Java/ABAP code to XML ( in the form which XI protocol can understand) and then transport the data.
So, the XML conversion happens at ERP side and directly the data reaches IE in XI Protocol Format(XML) which it processes directly.
Hope this helps.

Piyush
Hi suman,
It all depends on your requirement(business logic).
It can be in any format. But if you want to process it in IE of XI you need to convert it into XML format(its a general approach).
its not necessary that you have to convert the data to XML always. Only if you want map this data to some target structure (which is in XML format) then conversion to the data XML is prefered.
Thanks
Gujjeti
