Hi

Can someone help me by providing following info for the "application migration from mainframe to SAP on unix/linux"

1. strategy

2. jcl conversion

3. challenges in migration

4. data migration

I am a mainframer having little knowledge on SAP.

Please pass any document which can give me a direction to start.

I´m not sure what you are asking.

You mean how to "migrate" a legacy mainframe application to a SAP application or are you asking about how to migrate your DB2 z/OS SAP database to a *nix platform?

That is a HUGE topic.

I could be done like

- evaluating the current software, check was is needed and what SAP software offers

- install the software (may be ERP, CRM or other - depending on what fits best)

- create a prototype for the business process

- evaluate how to migrate your data

For all other stuff I recommend getting a consultant (or many of them) on-site and set up a project.
