Dear all

i want to maintain Qulity information record for a material.

from QI record i only want that if vendor is certified then this material should not go throuh the inspection process and if vedor is uncertified then it should go to Q/inspection.

I dont need any other outputs from it.

Now please guide me in detail step wise how can i make this record for a material.and what changes i have to made in material master.

Please check the vendor master (control tab). Maybe you have maintained an incompatible QM system entry there.

Hi

follow the below steps

1.Go to QI01

2.Give material no , vendor and plant

3.enter

4. there give release key as 31-12-9999

5.go to inspection control tab

6.there give inspection active if vendor is not certified in INSPECTION CONTROL

7.give ins[pection type and lead time in days

8.save

i have do the same as u said and QI record created and saved.

but when i create PO then it gives message"vendors or manufacturers QA system inadequate"

guide me where i am lacking

You must also maintain the qualtiy system for the material and the quality system for the vendor. For instance, in the material master specifiy ISO9000 and identify the vendors quality system as ISO9000.

Then is should work.

In config, you can define your the various quality systems. You can just define SYSTEM1, SYSTEM2 etc if you want. They don't have to match and given standard unless you want them to.

Hi,

Carry out the below mentioned steps for your requirement:

1. Goto OQB7, select an "Actual QM System" for which "Certified QM System - Skip" is active.

2. Goto QI02, assign the same in "Existing QM Sys" under "Insp Control" tab (You can also give validity for certification).

3. Maintain "Inspection active, if vendor is not certified" under "Insp Control"

By doing this the system will not create inspection lots even if you have activated QM in material master.
