In rebate what is the meaning of rebate accural.how we can calculate this field.

Rebate is a type of discount ,which is given retrospectively on the sales volume generated over a period of time.

That means we are giving the total accumulated discount value later. Exact Rebate discounts are accumulated as accruals in FI.

In the Rebate Agreement, we enter the "Accrual rate" and "Rebate rate".

When we create a Rebate relevant Billing document,the Accruals are also posted to "Accrual G/L account" in FI.

System identifies different amount in the Billing document and posts to appropriate G/L account.

It identifies the condition by its "Account key", assigned to the condition type in the Pricing procedure.

For Rebata condition types, we assign Account key-- ERB and Accrual-- ERU in the Pricing procedure.

Accrual amounts are accumulated in the accrual account and when we settle the Rebate, this amount is paid back to the Customer, through a Credit memo. That is how this accrual amount is reversed and Rebate is settled.

Rebate accruals allow your accounting department to keep track of how much your company owes customers with whom you have rebate agreements.

Rebates are paid retroactively, hence the system keeps track of all billing documents that are relevant for rebate processing.

System can also post accruals automatically so that the accumulated value of a rebate is recorded for accounting purposes.

In short, system calculates accruals once billing document is created. You need not calculate it.

Rebate is a special (conditional) discount and is not discounted directly in the sales order pricing. The rebate amount will be calculated and maintained separately as accruals and will be paid/credited separately as rebate settlements. This is the reson why we maintain ERB account key in the pricing procedure against the rebate condition types.

The rebates can be offered based on Quantity, between a specified period etc.,

Hi,

rebate accurual accumulated rebate amount . This amount you have to pay with credit note . Means this amount you have to settle with with credit note. settleing of rebate amnount.

We can calculate rebate accurals with the account key erb in the pricing procedure control ova8.

Can you give me a scenario in Rebates where standard sap fails to meet and you went for customization?

What was the business problem you were trying to solve, what kind of customization was required, and how did you go about accomplishing it?

Hi,

Rebate is accrued over a period of time, meaning it is type of discount that can be claimed after certain time period (1month, 1year etc.) has been elapsed. So all the rebates are accumulated and given back to the customer. So that why it is called as Rebate Accruals.
