Has anyone heard anything on when SAP will be certified to run on v6r1?
We need to upgrade from 4.6c to ERP 2005 and are considering replacing our 840-9406 box with a 550. We're wondering if we should get it with v5r4 or v6r1.
V6R1 has not been certified yet. Normally SAP's certification of new i5/OS versions is very close to IBM's announcement of the new version. And I can confirm that we want to keep it that way. I won't give you a specific date for the certification but my personal recommendation would be to get the new machine with V6R1 if you don't need to start the upgrade this weekend.
