Enabling EOIO for IDOC to ABAP Proxy scenario

Hi All,

I have the following working scenario: Idoc (4.6) --> PI 7.0 --> ABAP Proxy.

I want to enable EOIO processing (not ALE serialization). Is this possible and if so what setting do I maintain to activate EOIO.

Reviewing other threads and the documentation I have found the following.

The sequence at the Integration Server inbound or outbound channel can only be guaranteed if only Idocs are processed, and not if different protocols (for example, Idocs and proxies) are processed together.

This is not possible in 4.6

You need a system based on 6.40 or higher.

A pseudo-EOIO handling can be achieved like in this blog:
