We need J2EE-Server, has NW7.1 a free licence and can we use the database

Hi,

we have an application written in java and we wanna deploy it on a J2EE-Server.

We have installed a NW7.0 (with PI 7.0).

1.) Is it allowed to install our Non-SAP-Application on this J2EE-Server? - We are not using any PI functions!

2.) can we use the database installed with NW for our own application?

3.) Do we have any licence-problems?

Thanks a lot!

regards

Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

As per my understanding you should be able to deploy your non-SAP application on the PI 7.0 without any issues. Please try to use SDM / JSPM to deploy your application. Also, the NW database itself would be used in turn.

Regarding license, a temporary license is active right after installation. In case a permanent license is required, please http://service.sap.com/licensekeys
