How to change the time bucket profile

Hi experts

At present, we have 4 months time bucke profile (future) and 6 months time bucket profile (past) in a planning book.

Now we are planning to change time bucket profile (future) from 4 months to 3 months. For this, we have created 3 months bucket profile.

While assigning the same to planning book in data view tab but there is no option to activate the new TB profile.

In development client option is there (activate buttion) to change the same but it is not there in Production client.

So, Pl. give the solution to change the existing buckt (4 months) profile with new bucket (3 months) profile.

I have also tried to transport the new one from development to quality to production but system is not proposing transport request while changing the existing one or new creation of bucket profile.

Is there any authorization issue in production client ?

we have assigened the below authorizations in Production but not worked out.

change time bucket profile authorization

change planning book authorization

any one could pl. give the solution how to change the time bucket profile in production server.

Hi

To create a transport for your planning book you need to use transaction /sapapo/tsobj.

Check the "transport planning books" box and enter your planning book in the field.

When you then execute it will ask you for the usual creation details for a transport.

the planning book transport as mentioned by Ian will get your time bucket profiles to production

....along with macros

Producton systems are usually closed to make planning book changes (the system would be locked - its not an authorization issue)

its better to transport the planning book with the correct time bucket profile

P,S: there is a quick and dirty way to make the change you want though without going though the transport... but if you can transport... do that
